I can't think of anything better than waking to the sound of the rain on your roof. Although it was early, I felt rested and indulged in lying awake and listening. The rhythm of the rain made me sleepy again and sooner than later I dozed off until H's alarm rang.

I found a staggering roach in my kitchen this morning, about the size of an almond, upside down, in the 'defeated; position. Absolutely pathectic - I almost starting laughing. I guess that he wanted to die naturally rather than by the un-sympathetic hand of this woman. Good choice, little bugger.

Mondays are like old cars that you have to crank up. . . its been slow-going this monday, nothing really new about it.
I took a walk in the wet, fighting feelings of crankiness because, although it may look cold outside, it is not. . . Texas is quite deceitful and evil in that manner. I was trying to gingerly avoid huge puddles and the cars that were splashing through them. Texans are quite evil and deceitful in that manner.
