We're back!
It was the perfect amount of time to spend for re-charging and relaxing.
Tapatio was set in the luscious green valley, rolling hills hedging you in.
(BTW, I only managed to get pictures of our surroundings, for some reason.)
Our quarters weren't extravagent, but then again, neither are we. It was still a nice time. We arrived late Friday and slept in Saturday morning. We then breakfasted at Starbucks, coffee and chocolate chip coffeecake, walked around historical Boerne. The weather was misty, rainy off and on and glorious. They had an old car show this weekend, so the main street was blocked off. We strolled into giftshops and antique stores and admired kitchen hutches, tables, ornate chairs, and decor. We found this little red end table, featuring, "twisted barley" legs for a great bargain. It fits nicely next to our couch and works as my bag and purse perch :)
We headed over to the Cypress Grille for lunch - good food and pleasant atmosphere. The food was tasty and perfectly portioned too. We walked around a little bit more, and then headed back to the room for some rainy day reading. We ate at Denny's (comfy diner sounded good to us). Haven wanted to walk around the golf course when we got back so we hopped the fence and took the golf path in the dark - romantic ;)
This morning, we slept in and then packed up, and took one last jaunt into historic Boerne for breakfast at the Bear Moon cafe - coffee, muffin & scone, and enjoying each other's company. What a special time it was, and the nicest part is that we only live about 30 minutes away and yet it feels like another part of the world over there.

Welcome back! We missed you guys today, but I knew you'd be having fun. Isn't Bear Moon great? I'm glad you got to recharge and just enjoy each other's company...yes, it's nice that a San Antonian need not go far to feel a world away...all it takes is a little effort. Hmmm...I think we're overdue for something along those lines ourselves!
Welcome Home, Haven and Amy!
I'm so glad that the two of you got away for a couple of days!
You are precious in the Lord's sight!
Have a wonderful week.
Love, Mom

We missed you at church today but it sounds like you had such a wonderful time. I love the Texas hill country. It's so beautiful.
